This Privacy Policy explains how SOO REAL LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile applications, including Matcha World (collectively, the “Apps”). By using our Apps, you agree to the practices described here.

Who we are

Our Apps are operated by SOO REAL LLC. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach us at info@soorealworld.com.

Information you provide

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider and are never visible to us). You also choose a username. You can also create an account using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. If you do, you authenticate through that provider rather than creating a password with us, and we receive basic account details from them. With Google this may include your name and profile image along with your email address. With Apple we receive your email address and, only if you choose to share it, your name; if you use Apple’s Hide My Email option, we receive a private relay address instead of your real email. This information is stored by our authentication provider as part of your account.
Profile information. You may add a profile picture, either by uploading a photo or selecting a generated avatar.
Content you create. When you review a cafe, we collect the information you enter, such as the drink, rating, tasting notes, and any photos you attach. When you add a cafe, we collect the cafe’s name, address, and location coordinates.
Social activity. We store your follows, likes, shares, blocks, and any reports you submit, so the App can function.

Information collected automatically

Location. With your permission, the App uses your device’s location to center the map near you and to improve cafe search results. Your location is used to provide these features and is not used to advertise to you or to track you across other apps or services. You can turn off location access at any time in your device settings.
Technical data. When you use the App, our systems and service providers process basic technical information needed to deliver and secure your requests, such as your device’s IP address and app version. We do not use this information to track you, and we do not collect device advertising identifiers or use analytics SDKs.

How we use your information

To provide and operate the Apps, including your account, map, reviews, and social features.
To display your public reviews and founded cafes to other users, as described below.
To send in-app notifications (such as follows, likes, shares, and moderation notices).
To keep the service safe, including reviewing reported content and enforcing our Terms.

What other users can see

Matcha World is a social app. Reviews and cafes you choose to make public are visible to other users, along with your username and profile picture. Reviews and cafes you keep private are visible only to you. You control the visibility of each entry.

Third-party services

WWe use a small number of trusted third-party services to run the Apps. These providers process data only as needed to provide their service:

Apple — provides Apple Maps to display the map, and Sign in with Apple for account sign-in.
Google — provides Sign in with Google for account sign-in, and Google Places for cafe search by name and address.
Supabase — hosts our database, user authentication, and image storage.
DiceBear — generates optional profile avatars.
Expo — provides the framework and services used to build and run the App.

We do not use third-party advertising networks, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in our Apps.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these cases: with the service providers listed above, so they can operate the service on our behalf; when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service; and in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we will notify you.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your account and your private content. Reviews and cafes you contributed publicly may remain visible to other users so that community content is preserved, and founder status for a cafe may pass to another user. We may also retain limited information where required by law.

Your choices and rights

Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from within the App, under Settings.
Access and correction. You can edit your profile, reviews, and content in the App. For other requests regarding your data, contact us at info@soorealworld.com.
Location. You can enable or disable location access in your device settings.
Blocking and reporting. You can block other users and report content you believe violates our Terms.

Children’s privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International users

We are based in the United States, and your information is processed there. By using the Apps, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Apps after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
